This course teaches the skills and knowledge required to perform
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines
You may be confronted by a life-threatening emergency such as someone experiencing a cardiac arrest. This course provides you with the skills and knowledge to recognise when someone is unconscious and not breathing normally, experiencing a cardiac arrest, and increase their chance of survival by knowing how to react and perform potentially life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use of a defibrillator.

Pre-requisites
There is no prior learning required to attend this course
Online delivery - self paced learning with face to face assessment
20 minute face to face assessment adhering to current NSW Health requirements
40 minutes for more than 5 students
The online learning component consists of self paced learning to be completed prior to attending the face to face course however should take no longer than 6 months from date of initial enrolment.
Course Requirements
Participants are required to
perform 2 minutes
of uninterrupted CPR on an adult on the floor and an infant
